Working under general supervision, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures using various modalities, including ultrasound, to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment safely and effectively, adhering to radiation safety protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring optimal image quality.
- Explain procedures to patients, obtain patient histories, and record consent forms as needed.
- Select appropriate techniques and protocols for exams, manipulate reconstructed images, and optimize visualization of desired anatomy.
- Review, verify, and evaluate images to ensure technical quality and image quality.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a diagnostic imaging program.
- Current applicable state licensure in Diagnostic Sonography and national registration in Sonography (ARDMS) required.
- Two years of previous experience in the appropriate modality field of imaging preferred.
- Excellent communication, people skills, and ability to have empathy.
- Flexibility, self-motivation, and high degree of professionalism in demeanor and appearance.
Working Conditions:
- Varied shifts, including quick start.
- Minimum guaranteed hours: 40.
- Specialty type: Diagnostic Imaging.
- Sub specialty: Ultrasound Technologist General ab/ob small parts.
Certifications:
- BLS/BCLS.
- ARDMS(AB)ARDMS(BR).
EMR Used: EPIC.
