Job Summary:

Gpac is seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our heavy equipment fleet, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including cranes, excavators, concrete pumps, and foundation drilling rigs.
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems independently, using technical knowledge and diagnostic tools.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies, identifying and correcting safety hazards as needed.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other technicians and supervisors to share knowledge, improve processes, and maintain open communication.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections, using company-approved software and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Technical Expertise: High level of understanding in diesel, hydraulics, and electrical applications, with experience working with diagrams, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
  • Heavy Equipment Knowledge: Working knowledge of heavy equipment, including cranes, excavators, concrete pumps, and foundation drilling rigs.
  • Welding and Cutting: Ability to diagnose and make repairs related to welding and cutting.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
