POSITION TITLE: Driver/Courier
POSITION SUMMARY:
The role involves transporting patients to and from their scheduled healthcare appointments. Additionally, this position is responsible for delivering medications and supplies across various locations, including pharmacies and healthcare facilities.
REPORTS TO: CRVFHP Manager
FLSA STATUS: Part Time, Non-Exempt
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate vehicles, ensuring safe loading and unloading of passengers and goods.
- Provide timely transportation for patients to designated locations.
- Maintain punctuality in reaching destinations.
- Plan routes effectively, taking into account potential delays from traffic, construction, or weather conditions.
- Utilize navigation tools to identify optimal travel paths.
- Follow a scheduled route for pickups and deliveries, adjusting as necessary.
- Adhere to traffic regulations and organizational policies regarding vehicle operation.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to confirm it is in safe working order.
- Ensure the vehicle is adequately fueled and maintained in a clean condition.
- Report any vehicle-related issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Communicate professionally, maintaining a positive demeanor at all times.
- Document mileage and any expenses related to vehicle use accurately.
- Monitor and manage vehicle inspection and registration renewals, alerting supervisors of upcoming expirations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. CPR certification is a plus.
Experience: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Previous experience in a healthcare or dental environment is advantageous.
