Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Coordinator Surgical Services Supply to join our team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will be responsible for managing equipment and instrumentation for all departments under surgical services, ensuring that all necessary supplies and instruments are available and operational.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage equipment and instrumentation for all departments under surgical services, including coordinating repairs and replacements.
  • Ensure all necessary supplies and instruments are available and operational, maintaining organizational accuracy.
  • Facilitate the needs of surgical services staff with regard to hospital operations, acting as a trainer and mentor to team members.
  • Handle changes in the department, including new contracts and equipment, and act as a resource for vendors.
  • Ensure surgeon satisfaction by obtaining procedure preferences and updating preference cards.
  • Participate in budgeting and inventory control, making decisions regarding the maintenance and storage of equipment.
  • Assist in the delivery of appropriate patient care in the operating room.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in an operating room setting.
  • Previous experience working with operating room supplies, equipment, and instruments.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
