Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Office Lead to join our team at Roper St. Francis Healthcare. As a key member of our Mt Pleasant Family Practice, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, managing front office operations, and leading a team of receptionists.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and family members, instructing and directing them as needed
• Schedule appointments and coordinate with other care team members to provide seamless patient care
• Accurately handle prescription requests, medical chart information, and insurance referrals
• Collect co-payments and deductibles, posting charges and payments in the computer
• Train and oversee front office staff, ensuring excellent patient service and efficient operations
• Maintain accurate records, balancing charges and payments at the end of each day

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least two years of experience in a medical office setting
• Strong patient-centered focus, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a clinical team, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands
• Proficiency with HPP and eClinical Works, with ability to learn new systems quickly
