Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Health Nurse I to join our team at the Correctional Facility. As a Public Health Nurse I, you will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and evaluating the institutional public health and infection control programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and evaluating the institutional public health and infection control programs.
  • Provide technical assistance to institutional staff in the implementation of infectious disease control policies and procedures.
  • Conduct epidemiological investigations with the assistance and guidance of the Public Health Branch, California Correctional Health Care Services.
  • Ensure the delivery of appropriate and timely health care to patients and coordinate interdisciplinary communication to promote continuity of care.
  • Address the ongoing health care needs of patients and promote the timely, efficient, and appropriate use of health care resources.
Requirements
  • Possession of a current license as a Registered Nurse in California.
  • Possession of a current certificate as a Public Health Nurse in California.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the health care team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
