Position Overview:

The Senior Finishing Line Inspector plays a crucial role in guaranteeing that the manufacturing processes adhere to established specifications and tolerances through rigorous testing, measurement, and validation of products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure compliance with required specifications and tolerances throughout the manufacturing process.
2. Accurately identify and document products that pass or fail inspection, maintaining proper sequence.
3. Monitor and verify the functionality of dials, gauges, and indicators to ensure accurate readings.
4. Maintain an organized work environment, ensuring tools, materials, and personal items are properly stored.
5. Confirm that the application of coatings meets established standards.
6. Adhere to all personal protective equipment (PPE) policies and safety regulations.
7. Ensure accurate data entry for materials in the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).

Working Conditions:

The work environment is typical of a manufacturing setting, with varying temperatures and potential exposure to grease and noise. The role requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift, pull, and push materials weighing up to 50 pounds, along with significant standing and walking.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or GED equivalent.
2. Minimum of one year of visual inspection experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in OCTG or line pipe.
3. Proficient in using measuring tools such as micrometers and ultrasonic thickness gauges.
4. Basic arithmetic skills and the ability to interpret measuring equipment readings.
5. Strong dexterity and hand-eye coordination for effective product handling.

Additional Duties:

1. Conduct inspections of finished goods.
2. Verify the calibration and operational status of measuring instruments against established standards.
3. Complete all necessary inspection documentation within the MES.
4. Identify, label, and separate rejected items and those requiring rework.
5. Uphold cleanliness and organization in the work area, ensuring it is free from debris.
6. Operate a Forklift and Overhead Crane as required.
7. Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Authority:

This position holds the authority to halt production whenever deemed necessary to maintain quality standards.
