Senior Nuclear Inspector

Summary:

As a Senior Nuclear Inspector, you will oversee a team of inspection personnel responsible for conducting tests and inspections on nuclear projects at various stages to ensure compliance with quality requirements specified in codes, standards, and engineering documents.

Key responsibilities include performing discipline-specific inspections, examinations, and tests in accordance with documented procedures and industry practices.

You will be responsible for determining the calibration status of measuring and test equipment, ensuring it is in suitable condition for use, and verifying that inspection, examination, and test procedures are approved.

Additionally, you will plan and supervise inspections, examinations, and tests, report results, and evaluate the validity and acceptability of inspection, examination, and test results.

As a leader, you will also supervise and manage the activities of inspectors within a discipline, implement quality program requirements, and develop inspection and test procedures and reports as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cross-discipline activities and be able to provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to others.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Level II in the corresponding inspection or test category or class, or equivalent experience and education.

You will also need to have developed in-depth expertise in your discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines, with the ability to anticipate problems and apply expertise to complex issues.
