Responsibilities: As a Nutrition Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing established operational systems within the department. Your role will include:

  • Directing the storeroom clerk and culinary staff to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Collaborating on infection control practices to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Maintaining effective communication with patients, staff, and customers regarding service levels.
  • Ensuring adequate staffing to meet daily operational needs while reflecting cost efficiency.
  • Recruiting, hiring, and managing staff performance, while adapting to changing priorities.
  • Actively participating in menu development for patient, cafeteria, and catering services.

The above responsibilities are intended to provide a general overview of the role and may not encompass all tasks assigned to this position. Employees may be required to perform additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

Required Experience:

  • Four (4) years of experience in food services
  • Two (2) years of experience in hospital nutrition

Required Education:

  • Associate of Arts degree

Required Licensure:

  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist required. If not currently certified, certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
  • Current certification as a ServSafe Food Protection Manager.
  • Current (within the past 12 months) ServSafe Allergen certifications. If not currently certified, certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
