The Clinical Advisor conducts on-site clinical reviews of cases referred by case management staff and/or other healthcare professionals to meet regulatory requirements and ensure quality patient care and effective utilization of healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site clinical reviews of cases to ensure regulatory compliance and quality patient care
  • Meet with case management and healthcare team members to discuss selected cases and make recommendations for care
  • Interact with medical staff members and medical directors of third-party payers to discuss patient needs and alternative levels of care
  • Act as a resource for attending physicians regarding hospitalization, continued stay, and resource utilization
  • Provide guidance on federal and state utilization and quality regulations

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree required
