Job Description

The Import/Export Specialist role at Synectics is a key position within the Global Product Development & Supply / Global Quality organization. The primary responsibility of this role is to support domestic and global shipment logistics for the Reference Standard and Critical Reagent (RSCR) Group.

This includes managing logistical outgoing order activities, including order consolidation, shipping documentation preparation, and taking the lead in discussions with internal/external partners pertaining to the coordination of material movement for both domestic and international shipments when needed.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a shipping logistics environment, specifically scientific, not industrial. Hazmat Shipping Certification in shipping Hazardous Material is a must. Preferably experience with shipping pharmaceutical and biologics material.

The ideal candidate will also have broad experience in cold chain shipments for use in GxP laboratory environments. This position handles hazardous materials.
