OBGYN Nurse Practitioner Role with Patient-Centered Care

We are seeking a highly skilled OBGYN Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Elevation Medical Staffing. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive OB/GYN healthcare services to patients, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of women's conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Duties:
- Patient Assessment and Diagnosis
- Administrative and Collaborative Duties
- Care Coordination
- Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians, midwives, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Refer patients to specialists when necessary, such as for high-risk pregnancies or advanced fertility treatments.
- Patient Advocacy
- Advocate for women's health issues within the healthcare system.
- Address socioeconomic barriers to care and ensure culturally competent services.
- Record-Keeping and Compliance
- Maintain detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to evidence-based practices.
- High-Risk Pregnancy Management
- Monitor and manage high-risk pregnancies in collaboration with perinatologists.
- Provide support for conditions such as gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, and preterm labor.
- Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions related to women's health.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests like ultrasounds, blood work, and Pap smears.
- Reproductive Health Services
- Provide routine gynecological care, including pelvic exams, breast exams, and contraceptive counseling.
- Manage menstrual disorders, menopause symptoms, and infertility.
- Screen for and treat sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
- Pregnancy Care
- Provide prenatal care, including monitoring maternal and fetal health.
- Educate patients about prenatal nutrition, lifestyle changes, and potential complications.
- Offer postpartum care, including support for breastfeeding, mental health, and physical recovery.
- Procedures
- Perform minor office-based procedures such as IUD insertions, endometrial biopsies, and colposcopies.
- Assist or collaborate with OB/GYN physicians during more complex procedures or surgeries.
- Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a focus on OBGYN
- Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) through the ANCC.
- Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a clinical OBGYN setting preferred.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Active and unrestricted RN and NP license in the state of New York.
