Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team at Kawneer Company, Inc. in Bloomsburg, PA. Key Responsibilities
  • Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Leadership: Manage, lead, and be accountable for the crew's EHS performance and practices. Lead EHS initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Process Improvement and Problem-Solving: Lead and engage hourly teams in process improvement and rapid problem-solving activities; Resolve conflict; coach and counsel employees. Expectations of 25-50% of time spent coaching/interacting with production employees.
  • Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Monitoring performance and implementing corrective actions to meet goals.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Solving problems to the root to prevent a recurrence.
  • Effective Communication: Effectively communicating with others within and outside the work group.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain all production and related quality assurance records for designated area and shift.
  • Production Goals: Responsible for meeting or exceeding production goals including production output, safety, on time delivery, and people initiatives within a traditional unit supervisor role.
  • Workplace Rules and Policies: Effectively and consistently enforce workplace rules, policies, procedures, and labor agreement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Direct the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives (lean manufacturing) including 5S, standardized work, work balance, product flow and TPM improvements.
  • Departmental Operations: Plan, manage, and execute departmental operating plans and tactical operations, including scheduling, crew assignments, and overtime.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrate commitment to servicing the customer.
  • Internal and External Communication: Work with internal and external (when applicable) customers and suppliers to communicate expectations and priorities.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in a facilities, manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Eligibility: Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
