Compensation: Up to $5,000 Weekly Gross
Overview:
- We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to become an integral part of our innovative Neuro-medical ICU team.
- This role presents a unique opportunity for a committed professional to deliver exceptional care to patients undergoing neurosurgical interventions and those in need of advanced neurological medical attention.
- The preferred candidate will possess a robust background in critical care, outstanding clinical abilities, and a strong commitment to education and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive care to patients in the Neuro-medical ICU, focusing on those undergoing neurosurgical procedures and managing complex neurological medical conditions.
- Perform detailed admission assessments and oversee daily patient management, including advanced ventilator support, central line and arterial line placements, and coordinating patient transfers and discharges.
- Guide and mentor students and new staff, providing essential support to enhance their clinical competencies and knowledge base.
- Collaborate with unit-based nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care and improve unit operations.
- Engage in the education of learners through clinical instruction, knowledge dissemination, and skills training.
Qualifications:
- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) certification from NCCPA; candidates with a pending New York State license will be considered.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in critical care environments.
- Expertise in arterial and central line placement is essential.
- Experience in neurosurgery or neurology is highly desirable.
