The Office Support Specialist I undertakes a variety of administrative tasks to assist different levels of personnel within the organization. This role involves managing various projects and generating reports and information that may be highly sensitive and crucial, thereby supporting the objectives of local management and CorVel Corporation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responds to phone calls and directs inquiries appropriately.
- May open, review, prioritize, route, and distribute incoming correspondence and materials.
- May coordinate and maintain scheduling and event calendars, including travel arrangements, customer appointments, meetings, and conference calls.
- Organizes and maintains document storage systems.
- May create and prepare presentations, memos, reports, correspondence, and various projects.
- May schedule travel, meetings, and other events, while monitoring calendars and room bookings.
- May assist with basic accounting tasks.
- Requires consistent attendance, reliability, and accountability in fulfilling job responsibilities.
- Adheres to all safety protocols and regulations during working hours in line with the Injury and Illness Prevention Program ("IIPP").
- Additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in administrative support roles.
COMPENSATION:
CorVel employs a market-based approach to compensation, and salary ranges may vary based on location. Pay rates are determined by factors such as federal, state, and local minimum wage laws, geographic location differentials, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and market conditions. Salary ranges may be adjusted at any time.
For leveled positions (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.), new hires may be assigned to a different level based on evaluations during the interview process, considering experience, qualifications, and overall suitability for the role. The level may influence the salary range, and these adjustments will be clarified during the offer process.
Pay Rate: $19.43 per hour.
