About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled GSE Mechanic II to join our team at PrimeFlight Aviation Services. As a GSE Mechanic II, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining a wide range of ground support equipment, including tugs, belt loaders, pushbacks, trucks, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced maintenance and repairs on ground support equipment
  • Service equipment with fuel, water, oil, hydraulic fluid, and compressed air
  • Log equipment numbers and descriptions of work to be done
  • Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, replace, repair, overhaul, or modify engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, and other components
  • Diagnose problems using test equipment and applicable manuals
  • Operate and test ground equipment for performance assessment
  • Complete associated paperwork and track parts
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license required
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • 3-5 years of verified experience required
  • Must provide own tools and toolbox
  • Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at job location
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English language
  • Ability to use electronic devices, including iPads, tablets, computers, and mobile devices
  • Effectively communicate in-person and through electronic means
  • Valid State Driver's License with a verifiable safe vehicle operating record
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal)
  • Ability to work any day/shift, including holidays, within a 24/7 operation
Working Conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Position is generally sedentary, sitting for long periods of time
  • Prolonged standing and walking in an indoor/outdoor environment
  • Must be able to push, pull, crawl, bend, stretch, and squat
  • Must be able to work at elevated heights
  • Exposure to moderate and at times high noise levels
  • Exposure to biohazards and/or chemicals
  • Exposure to outdoor elements
