About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Specialist to join Marriott International Inc. as a key member of our team. As a Security Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests, employees, and property.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of all areas of the property to prevent and detect potential security threats
  • Assist guests with access to their rooms and respond to emergency situations in a timely and professional manner
  • Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm systems, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems to ensure the security and safety of the property
  • Conduct daily physical hazard inspections and respond to accidents or incidents in a prompt and efficient manner
  • Assist guests and employees during emergency situations and notify the appropriate individuals to ensure a swift response
  • Defuse guest and employee disturbances and escort unwelcome individuals from the property in a professional and respectful manner
  • Complete incident reports and maintain confidentiality of all security and property reports and documents
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence to support incident reports and security protocols
  • Follow all company policies and procedures and report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to management

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • No prior work experience in security or a related field is required
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight
  • Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
  • Ability to perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
