Job Summary

The Master Electrician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repair, and installations of all electrically powered devices and distribution systems throughout the facility. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform installations and repairs of electrical equipment in compliance with the National Electrical Code, State and local codes.
  • Ensure all installations meet applicable code requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with new compliance and code procedures.
  • Perform preventative maintenance throughout the facility as scheduled.
  • Coordinate with other trades personnel or outside vendors as needed in completing scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Monitor staff performance and direct and approve all minor wiring performed by staff or outside vendors.
  • Perform Quality Assurance checks on all electrical systems.
  • Accomplish record keeping as required by appropriate regulatory agency.
  • Serve as backup for Security Department.

  • Potential exposure to noise levels being uncomfortable.
  • Potential exposure to noxious odors.
  • Potential exposure to very hot or cold temperatures.
  • Work with computers, typing, reading or writing.
  • Lifting, moving and loading 30 to 50 pounds.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting.
