Job Summary

The Master Electrician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and installations of all electrically powered devices and distribution systems throughout the facility. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail to ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code, State and local codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs installations and repairs of electrical equipment in compliance with codes and regulations.
  • Conducts preventative maintenance throughout the facility as scheduled.
  • Coordinates with other trades personnel or outside vendors as needed to complete scheduled maintenance.
  • Monitors staff performance and directs and approves all minor wiring performed by staff or outside vendors.
  • Performs Quality Assurance checks on all electrical systems.
  • Accomplishes record keeping as required by regulatory agencies.
  • Serves as backup for the Security Department.
Requirements
  • Licensed Master Electrician.
  • No minimum education requirement.

  • Potential exposure to noise levels being uncomfortable.
  • Potential exposure to noxious odors.
  • Potential exposure to very hot or cold temperatures.
  • Work with computers, typing, reading or writing.
  • Lifting, moving and loading 30 to 50 pounds.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting.
