Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures to demonstrate anatomy and physiology for interpretation and intervention.
- Exercise professional judgment in the performance of services and maintain a demeanor that supports quality care.
- Deliver appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.
- Comply with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality.
- Adhere to Orlando Health's mission statements and strategic imperatives.
- Assess the patient's physical condition and age-specific needs.
- Provide instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
- Perform proper patient identification, acquire patient clinical history, and assure accurate documentation.
- Position patients, equipment, associated devices, and manipulate technical factors to achieve high-quality images for interpretation.
- Assess diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring all relative anatomy is demonstrated.
- Apply principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
- Comprehend and comply with Quality Control standards and participate in all Quality Control tasks.
- Demonstrate proficiency in contrast medication administration.
- Administer medical aid as required in cases of adverse reactions to contrast medication and/or other emergencies.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Florida.
- Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
- Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
