About the Role

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs is seeking a highly skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing clinical and educational support to individual students, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and internal standards for educational and behavioral services.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Functional Analysis Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans in collaboration with teachers and support staff.
  • Monitor the quality of student academics and behavioral services, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Collaborate with Spectrum staff to develop effective teaching practices, ensuring students progress in accordance with their IEP.
  • Assess staff development needs, design and deliver training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in staff development through conferences, training, and seminars to maintain and develop core competencies.
  • Train and certify team members in CPI principles, providing ongoing coaching and support.
  • Assist in the hiring, orientation, and training of behavior specialists.
  • Research and recommend evidence-based curricula for classrooms, ensuring compliance with Department of Education requirements.
  • Develop and monitor systems to meet individual student, classroom, and site needs.
  • Develop strategies for fading students from 1:1 staffing ratios to small group staffing ratios.
  • Attend and participate in required meetings, including school team meetings and all staff meetings.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance checks, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Education regulations and Spectrum Schools internal standards.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in behavior sciences, psychology, or related field.
  • Board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) credentials.
  • Education Specialist or Special Education Teaching Credential (Mild/Mod or Mod/Severe) preferred.
  • Well-versed in applied behavior analysis, including effective teaching strategies, classroom management systems, data-based decision making, and functional analysis/behavior intervention plans.
  • Highly skilled in working with individuals with severe emotional and behavioral disorders and/or learning disabilities.
  • Prior experience working in a special education program setting highly preferred.
  • Advanced oral and written communication, instruction, curriculum, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Advanced motivational skills and willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and new initiatives.
  • Knowledge of relevant technology, including experience with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry, and basic office equipment.
