Job Overview

RimePro Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join their growing team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the development of heavy civil construction projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project development, including planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Specialize in heavy civil construction projects, including underground utilities and roadway work.
  • Establish project scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with business and project goals.
  • Coordinate team members, resources, subcontractors, and stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
  • Prepare and present project budgets, making necessary adjustments to keep within financial targets.
  • Manage project schedules and ensure tasks are executed effectively in the field.
  • Handle procurement tasks, including sourcing and ordering materials, tracking quantities, and processing purchase orders.
  • Maintain clear communication with owners, inspectors, and internal teams.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, creating documentation and reports for review.
  • Address and resolve project issues, ensuring timely and efficient resolutions.
  • Anticipate potential changes in project scope, develop contingency plans, and mitigate risks.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, with a strong understanding of the construction industry.
  • Experience working in heavy civil construction is a plus, with knowledge of underground utilities, grading, and excavation.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage both field and office tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities, solve problems, and meet tight deadlines.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in civil construction project management.
  • Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, and managing subcontractors.
