Grocery Loader

Job Summary:

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking a skilled Grocery Loader to join our team. As a Grocery Loader, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement of merchandise from staging areas to trailers. This is a full-time, 2nd shift position that requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Loading and Unloading: Safely load full pallets of merchandise into trailers, ensuring damage is avoided and verifying the correct loading of pallets using RF handhelds and/or voice.
• Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move merchandise throughout the warehouse.
• Inspection and Maintenance: Inspect trailers for damage before loading and complete inspection forms on equipment operated.
• Housekeeping and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Other Duties: Perform other job-related duties as assigned, including wrapping pallets and stretching wrap, operating a battery changing hoist, and completing other tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Certifications and Training: Certified forklift and pallet jack operator, with the ability to operate required materials handling equipment (MHE).
• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, with 0-2 years of relevant experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
