Position Overview:

Albany Medical Center is expanding its Human Resources team and is in search of a dedicated Talent Acquisition Onboarding Specialist. This role presents a remarkable opportunity for individuals eager to embark on a career in Human Resources, particularly those with a keen interest in Recruitment.

Role Responsibilities:

The Onboarding Specialist plays a vital role within the Talent Acquisition Team, focusing on the administrative aspects of recruiting and integrating new team members. Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the primary liaison for the Talent Acquisition communication channels, ensuring timely responses to inquiries.
  • Following up on unresolved issues and collaborating with relevant experts as necessary.
  • Preparing employment offer letters and contingent offers as requested by recruiters.
  • Managing the onboarding process for new hires and internal transfers, including necessary updates in tracking systems.
  • Maintaining comprehensive records related to start dates, offers, declines, and rescinds, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of updates.
  • Coordinating the onboarding and clearance processes for new hires, including necessary appointments and follow-ups.
  • Submitting access requests for new hires ahead of their start dates and communicating updates effectively.
  • Generating ad hoc reports and assisting with various projects as needed.
  • Providing backup support for Traveler administration.
  • Assisting with recruitment events, including pre-event preparation and on-site support.
  • Keeping track of recruitment event attendees and updating their statuses as changes occur.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an office environment, preferably within HR or Talent Acquisition.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • The capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
  • A professional demeanor with a commitment to integrity and a passion for the mission of Albany Medical Center.
  • The ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships across all organizational levels.
