Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting patient information.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Participate in emergency situations, such as cardiac arrests and code blues, and respond accordingly.
  • Conduct patient assessments, identify potential health risks, and take appropriate action to mitigate them.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in the Emergency Department.
  • Experience working with patients with mental health needs and/or residential nursing care experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
