About the Role

RiverWoods Durham is seeking a skilled Culinary Server to join our team. As a Culinary Server, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our residents in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Breakfast Service: Set up the breakfast station, take orders using the POS system, and prepare breakfast items a la minute.
  • Setup and Breakdown: Set place settings with clean and sanitized flatware and glassware, break down and clean the breakfast station, and reset for lunch with deli preparation.
  • Lunch Service: Present residents with lunch options, take orders using the POS system, and prepare assigned menu items in conjunction with the central kitchen.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Remove all dirty plates, flatware, glassware, etc., from service, wash, sanitize, and place in designated locations. Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of the dining space is completed daily using the appropriate checklist.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining proper stock levels of all items necessary for resident comfort and care.
  • Equipment Operation: Ability to operate ovens, dishwashers, mixers, slicers, and other general kitchen equipment to the greatest advantage.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent of GED
  • Experience: 1 year of culinary experience in basic food preparation with hot and cold food items; server experience preferred
  • Certification: ServSafe Certification preferred
Work Schedule

The ideal schedule for this position is a 7am-3:30pm shift. Must be available weekends and holidays.
