Store Manager

The Turner's Outdoorsman Store Manager is a key leadership role responsible for driving sales growth, customer satisfaction, and profitability. As a retail professional, you will be the face of the company, embodying our brand values and culture.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of Assistant Store Managers and non-exempt employees to achieve sales goals and customer satisfaction.
- Provide exceptional customer service and salesmanship, ensuring a full-service and high-value shopping experience.
- Manage labor costs, minimize shrinkage, and meet budgeted sales targets.
- Effectively advertise and promote Turner's Outdoorsman products and events.
- Promote a teaming environment, scheduling employee shifts and break times in accordance with state and federal laws.
- Train, motivate, supervise, and develop employees to achieve their full potential.
- Oversee all aspects of store operations, including office management, cash handling, and register functions.
- Maintain and track merchandise stock levels, displays, and firearms paperwork.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including covering employee breaks and lunches in other departments as needed.
- High school graduate (or GED) required, college graduate or some college preferred.
- Fluent in English.
- At least 2 years of prior retail and sales experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Knowledge about Hunting, Fishing, or Shooting sports is preferred.
- Legally eligible to work in a firearm environment.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Certificate of Eligibility Required.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Requests for time off may or may not be granted during black-out periods.
- Responsible for loading/unloading trucks, lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Must be able to use both hands when handling a firearm.
- Must be able to use a computer proficiently and grasp instruction to new software programs.
- Must be able to stand, sit, bend, and lift throughout the course of a scheduled shift.
- Occasional travel is required (approximately 20% of the time) for events, training seminars, corporate meetings, or opening new store locations.
- Hours-at least 45 hours per week are required, varied.
- Requests for time off may or may not be granted during black-out periods.
