About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team at Barnes & Noble. As a Barista, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere in our Cafe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve high-quality beverages and food items to our customers
  • Provide friendly and efficient service, ensuring a positive customer experience
  • Maintain a clean and organized Cafe environment, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Operate espresso machines and other equipment with precision and speed
  • Upsell and recommend products to customers, increasing sales and revenue
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and meet customer needs

Requirements:

  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive and friendly attitude
  • Basic math skills and accuracy when handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and move quickly in a busy environment
