Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team at Zeeland Standard. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for receiving, stocking, shipping, and counting inventory items in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to stock lumber and building materials
  • Participate in a positive work environment and assist warehouse associates and direct supervisor in maintaining an organized work environment
  • Receive incoming products, commodities, and materials and count and record receipt of materials
  • Stock all material received in appropriate bins or storage locations and assist inventory control in counting and organizing warehouse materials
  • Comply with all company policies and guidelines and operate facility equipment as necessary
  • Monitor inventory as required by location management and participate in and complete assigned trainings
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • No experience required; will train
  • Ability to do basic math, read orders, write instructions, and complete forms
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers, other employees, and supervisors using verbal and written skills
  • Ability to deal constructively with conflict and recognize potential problems
  • Physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods, exposure to extreme temperatures, bending or stooping, regularly lifting up to 50 pounds, and frequently up to 100 pounds or more
