Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Utz Quality Foods. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing all processing and packaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair all processing and packaging equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair PLCs.
  • Use sound judgment to diagnose trouble, determine necessary repairs, tear down and rebuild equipment.
  • Perform modifications and new designs with use of blueprints, electrical, electronics, welding, torch, lathe work, hydraulics, pneumatics, and pipe fittings.
  • Modify, repair and install equipment as required.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Adhere to all policies, guidelines, and procedures, such as GMP, HACCP, and work and safety rules.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Must possess the following experience: electrical up to 480 VAC, 3 phase; electronics; welding: ARC, mig, tig; torch cutting and heating; metal lathe work; hydraulics; plumbing; excellent mechanical skills; and pneumatics.
  • Experience in Industrial wiring and controls; adjustable voltage/frequency drives; and PLC Control Logix systems preferred.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to maintain positive awareness of quality assurance and safety.
