Position Overview
We are in search of a talented and driven Senior Financial Analyst to become a vital member of our finance department. In this pivotal role, you will influence the financial direction of our organization. Your responsibilities will include evaluating financial data, predicting future outcomes, and delivering insightful recommendations to aid in strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Create and sustain financial models to project business performance. Offer comprehensive analysis and insights into financial metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the annual budgeting cycle and quarterly projections. Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying discrepancies and suggesting improvements.
- Financial Reporting: Compile and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to senior leadership and stakeholders. Ensure the precision and promptness of all financial information.
- Strategic Analysis: Perform ad-hoc financial assessments to support strategic initiatives, including market growth, product innovation, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Investment Analysis: Assess potential investment prospects and capital projects. Provide financial insights to facilitate investment choices.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with various departments, including Business Development, Marketing, Operations, Technology, and Product Management, to synchronize financial objectives with overall business goals.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience with 5+ years in a quantitative role.
- 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of involvement in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance controllership with measurable outcomes.
- MBA or CPA certification.
- Proficiency in Tableau.
- Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) in analyses.
- 2+ years of developing process enhancements through automation and analysis.
- Advanced SQL skills for data mining and business intelligence.

Compensation
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company, and depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be included as part of a total compensation package, alongside a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
