Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider - OB/GYN

Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our OB/GYN team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our physicians and staff to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough medical histories and perform complete physical examinations to establish a record of the patient's current health status and develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan.
  • Initiate appropriate lab, radiology tests, or other special tests required for evaluation of illness and scrutinize lab data to establish a record of the patient's current health status and to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan.
  • Work in collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
  • Participate in medical team rounds and collaborate with nursing, medical, and other healthcare team members regularly to ensure quality patient care.
  • Refer patients to specialists as appropriate for consultation or for specialized health resources and treatment.
  • Ensure continuity of care by serving as a liaison between patient and other members of the multi-disciplinary care team or with other specialty areas as necessary.
  • Participate in quality monitoring through the review of records and treatment plans for patient outcomes on a periodic basis to assure quality care.
  • Facilitate appropriate length of stay, discharge planning, and compliance with regulatory standards for inpatient management.
  • Support professional development of the healthcare team.
  • May assist in data collection and analysis.
  • May serve as clinical preceptor for students.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited APRN program.
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a nationally accredited organization recognized by the state Board of Nursing.
  • Must have arrangements with at least one physician in accordance with requirements set forth by the State Board of Nursing in applicable states.
  • Must be credentialed and privileged by the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Body of the applicable hospitals.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Centering Pregnancy training is preferred.
