We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Rheumatologist to join our team at Augusta University. As a member of our faculty, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, teaching and mentoring medical students and residents, and contributing to the advancement of pediatric rheumatology research.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care for pediatric patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of disorders, consultations, acute care, and patient education.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Participate in weekday and weekend emergent/after-hours call coverage.
- Develop and implement educational programs for medical students and residents, and provide clinical supervision and consultation as needed.
- Contribute to the development of departmental and institutional policies and procedures.
- Participate in community outreach and education initiatives.
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school/university.
- Board certification/board eligibility in Pediatric Rheumatology.
- Eligibility for a state of Georgia medical license; Federal DEA; PALS/CPR certification.
- Assistant Professor- Early level career as a faculty member with appropriate postgraduate training.
- Associate Professor- Mid level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.
- Professor- Senior level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Associate Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.
