Position Overview:
AFL Global LLC is seeking talented individuals for the role of Manufacturing Process Specialist. This position is integral to our high-performing team, focusing on enhancing process efficiency and integrating advanced manufacturing technologies. The successful candidate will lead initiatives aimed at process improvement and the implementation of innovative technologies to meet customer demands and support our growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive efforts to enhance performance and address quality challenges through systematic problem-solving techniques.
  • Establish, assess, and track process performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Determine critical quality parameters and implement control systems to ensure compliance with product specifications.
  • Provide hands-on engineering support for new product launches, ensuring processes yield high-quality products.
  • Oversee daily process quality, investigating issues and initiating corrective actions as necessary.
  • Engage with customers on technical and quality matters, leading resolution efforts for any process-related complaints.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to execute projects and enhance processes.
  • Design and maintain tooling and equipment to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain training documentation to ensure operators understand their responsibilities.
  • Promote safety and organization through the application of 5S principles.
  • Support business objectives aimed at increasing productivity and reducing waste.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives and new product development projects.
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams to achieve project goals efficiently.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology, preferably in chemical, mechanical, or industrial engineering.
  • 2-5 years of experience in process, manufacturing, quality, or project engineering.
  • Experience in fiber optic cable manufacturing or related processes is preferred.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in statistical analysis software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
