Job Summary

Kros-Wise is seeking a highly skilled Network Technician to join our team. As a Network Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to end users on the operation of our Cisco Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day operations of the VoIP telephone system, including infrastructure (wiring, switches, and routers)
  • Check the daily ticket log and complete actions to resolve tickets
  • Provide daily support of unclassified VoIP endpoint devices, ensuring all devices are operational
  • Ensure all configurations meet security guidelines and are backed up
  • Resolve issues related to Cisco IP Telephony functionality
Additional Responsibilities
  • Conduct site surveys and meet with department contacts to plan and coordinate new and upgraded cabling and telecommunications equipment for large and complex systems
  • Identify and update locations of all IT infrastructure drops on provided floor plans, label all jack locations identified using provided specifications
  • Identify location of both sides of all IT infrastructure drops, including work area outlet and communication room/patch panel
  • Notify Lead POC promptly of any IT drops locations that cannot be found and have knowledge of IT infrastructure
  • Perform duties in compliance with industry best practices, BICSI methodologies, standards, and codes
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in an enterprise network level environment using Cisco Unified Call Manager applications
  • Cisco Call Manager familiarity
  • Cisco Unity Voicemail familiarity
  • Cisco Routing and Switching familiarity
  • VoIP troubleshooting experience
  • Active Secret Clearance (sponsorship available to selected candidates)
  • Knowledge of Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) related computer-based tools, i.e. NMCI Enterprise Tool (NET)
  • CompTIA Network+ certification or CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Enterprise
