Job Summary

Kros-Wise is seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our Information Technology Division, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuity of our business systems and maintaining the security and integrity of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure configurations comply with DoD and Navy policies, directives, and standards
  • Responsible for the configuration, integration, and maintenance of IT system resources, hardware, software, peripherals, and data-store assets
  • Coordinate and perform the installation of new or modified hardware, operating systems, data-store, and applications software
  • Perform a broad spectrum of IT system administration activities, including installation and configuration of system fixes, updates, patches, and performance tuning
  • Ensure high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical host computer resources
  • Manage the data center and computer host systems, including hardware, software, and Uninterrupted Power System (UPS)
  • Manage network infrastructure, including switch configurations, racks, and cable plant
  • Perform troubleshooting and lead problem-solving efforts involving outside vendors and other support personnel
  • Establish, maintain, and manage user accounts
  • Document system status with respect to security and ensure compliance with Cyber security regulations
Requirements
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • BS Degree in Computer Science or related discipline (or relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement)
  • CompTIA Security+ and MS Server 2012 certification
  • 3+ years of work experience in complex systems design, programming, and systems software and support
  • Experience with MS Windows Server 2012/16, VMware administration, and networking equipment and protocols
  • Experience with Linux (Redhat) and HBSS is a plus
