Writing Instructor for Summer Camp

As a Writing Instructor with Education Unlimited, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the literary skills of our students. With an average class size of 6-10 students, you will provide personalized attention and feedback to foster growth as writers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead students through the Education Unlimited writing curriculum, emphasizing creative expression and technical skill development.
- Conduct one-on-one feedback sessions to support students' progress and address individual needs.
- Organize a showcase at the end of camp, where students can share their work and receive constructive feedback from peers and instructors alike.
In addition to teaching responsibilities, on-campus instructors are expected to assist the camp director with active supervision, recreational activities, and administrative tasks. Instructors should be mature, reliable, and able to work well with fellow staffers, acting as mentors and guiding students on excursions while ensuring their health and safety.
Qualifications- A minimum of 3+ years' experience teaching writing at the high school or college level, or equivalent experience in middle school or elementary education.
- Bachelor's degree required; MFA preferred.
- Ability to teach various genres, with a passion for education and writing.
- Calm and professional demeanor, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong people skills, with a willingness to work long hours and motivate students to achieve their best.
