Job Summary

Global Medical Response Inc is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Firefighter/EMT to join our team. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for responding to fires and emergencies in a timely and safe manner, while also providing medical care to those in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to fires and emergencies in a timely and safe manner
  • Participate in control of fires through hose and nozzle work, use of hand tools or a combination of these methods
  • Administer first aid to injured parties at their appropriate level of training
  • Quickly analyze situations where life safety is threatened and apply the correct treatment
  • Safely operate vehicles and equipment as directed
  • Assist in the maintenance of fire and rescue apparatus, tools, and equipment
  • Keep the company base and related grounds, facilities, and supplies in a clean, orderly, and useable condition
  • Perform routine non-firefighting work tasks, such as working on company records and other related paperwork
  • Function satisfactorily as a team member of a fire company at any emergency or non-emergency scene
Requirements
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
  • State of Louisiana Firefighter I/II or ability to obtain reciprocity
  • State of Louisiana Emergency Medical Technician - Basic
  • Hazmat Technician Level
  • Rescue Rope Technician
  • Marine/general Spill Response
