Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at LaPorte. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems, with experience in design and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, and plumbing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project execution and quality control.
  • Develop and implement design solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Manage and review project deliverables, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying knowledge to improve project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in design engineering, with a focus on HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical codes and standards, including ASHRAE, ACGIH, and NFPA.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk and Revit software.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
