Essential Qualifications
- Experience in lawn care is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites is essential.
Primary Responsibilities
- Safely operate various landscaping tools and equipment, including lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and other necessary implements.
- Handle heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling of landscaping materials such as mulch, rocks, and plants.
- Efficiently operate both manual and powered cutting and sawing equipment.
- Manage the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs., maneuvering ride/walk-behind mowers, and walking up to 5 miles daily on diverse terrains.
- Work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and precipitation.
- Adhere to noise protection regulations, especially when using loud equipment like backpack blowers and trimmers.
Property Maintenance Duties
- Maintain turf quality through mowing with various types of mowers.
- Edge grass along curbs, pathways, and flowerbeds.
- Utilize blowers to clear leaves and clippings after tasks and as needed.
- Prune shrubs and trees, and remove debris to ensure a neat and orderly worksite.
- Regularly inspect the property for litter, rocks, branches, and other debris to maintain a safe and appealing environment.
Equipment Maintenance Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload tools and equipment from vehicles.
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning and basic repairs.
- Regularly change blades, oil, and clean air filters on machinery.
- Grease machine fittings as part of ongoing maintenance and as required.
Work Schedule
- Typical work hours are from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Occasional Saturday shifts may be necessary.
- Work hours may vary based on factors such as traffic, weather conditions, specific job tasks, and seasonal changes.
