Job Summary

The LPN will provide daily support to the unit leadership and respond appropriately to resident and family needs within the LPN scope of practice. The successful candidate will use the nursing process, judgment, and skills to set priorities necessary to deliver quality direct resident care and make decisions promoting the safety and quality of direct care to residents.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and administer standard nursing treatments and/or medications and observe residents for desired or unwanted effects.
  • Communicate and collaborate with appropriate members within the care team to revise or update the Nursing Care Plan or any pertinent findings, including lab/test results, incidents, and/or concerns.
  • Monitor and document vitals, treatments administered, and residents' responses.
  • Prepare, organize, oversee, monitor, and evaluate the delivery of care of resident CNA assignments and activities, considering the category of needs and competency of personnel.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of Nursing.
  • Licensed and currently registered in good standing in New York as an LPN.
  • Dedicated to providing extraordinary, clinically sound, and compassionate care.
  • Must possess a spirit of cooperation, caring, and enthusiasm to create an atmosphere conducive to rehabilitation and optimal resident health.
  • Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes challenging residents.
  • Have excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills.
  • Work well under pressure and willing to work harmoniously with all staff.
