US VETS Inc is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veteran Peer Specialist to join our team. As a Peer Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing guidance and support to veterans in achieving their highest level of independence.
Key Responsibilities- Provide peer counseling, referrals, and advocacy to veterans
- Facilitate peer groups and life skills classes
- Assist with daily implementation of basic residential services
- Coordinate and plan site-wide events
- Monitor and document participant progress and services provided
- High School Diploma required
- One year of experience in social services or related field preferred
- A veteran of the U.S. military or military-related family member is preferred
- Knowledge of empowerment and self-advocacy techniques
This is a full-time position that requires a valid driver's license and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of clients, staff, and community members.
