ROLE EXPECTATIONS:
  • Create a comforting atmosphere for children that resembles a nurturing home environment;
  • Maintain a welcoming and accepting demeanor at all times, regardless of each child's developmental stage;
  • Utilize loving and supportive discipline techniques to encourage positive behavior;
  • Demonstrate a passion for teaching through the S.T.E.A.M curriculum;
  • Commit to a Monday through Friday schedule (no evenings or weekends).

AVAILABLE POSITIONS:

Assistant Educator – Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled or agree to enroll in the CBR (background check registry).
Lead Educator – Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1-year experience working with children;
  • Must be enrolled or agree to enroll in the CBR (background check registry).
Director/Educator – Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1-year experience working with children;
  • Experience in managing staff;
  • Must be enrolled or agree to enroll in the CBR (background check registry).


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist or lead age-appropriate educational activities;
  • Promote a classroom environment that prioritizes safety and respect;
  • Conduct daily cleaning routines to ensure a sanitary and safe space;
  • Prepare and serve nutritious snacks and meals throughout the day;
  • Keep parents or guardians informed about their child's daily activities and progress;
  • Supervise outdoor playtime to ensure students are enjoying themselves safely.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
  • Starting pay ranging from $15 to $19 per hour, based on experience;
  • Paid holidays;
  • Paid vacation days after one year of employment;
  • Opportunities for career advancement;
  • Support for educational classes (on a case-by-case basis).

Applicants must meet the qualifications for teaching, which includes sufficient experience in a structured childcare setting and/or completion of college-level courses in early childhood education to comply with the Official of Child Care standards.

The Assistant Educator role is ideal for college students seeking hands-on experience with children. Many of our assistant educators have transitioned to Lead Educator positions after earning their bachelor's degrees.
