Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team at Element Care. As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting participants around the community and to medical appointments, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport participants to and from medical appointments, community events, and other outside activities, as needed.
  • Assist participants with mobility and provide support during pickups and drop-offs.
  • Maintain the interior and exterior of the van to ensure a safe and clean environment for passengers.
  • Notify the Director of any incidents, client injuries, or accidents, and work with the Supervisor of Drivers to identify specific needs of each participant.
  • Remove snow around the van during winter months to ensure client safety and the safe operation of the vehicle.
  • Assist Day Care Center Staff with local activities and other duties, as needed.
  • Meet the requirements for a valid state Driver's License, minimum 5 years of safe driving experience, and pass a DOT Physical and DOT mandated driver training.
  • Be CPR and First Aid Certified, able to physically move and maneuver participants in a wheelchair, and possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
  • Valid state Driver's License from the state of residence.
  • Minimum 5 years of safe driving experience.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT Physical and DOT mandated driver training.
  • Be CPR and First Aid Certified.
  • Able to physically move and maneuver participants in a wheelchair.
  • Must be a responsible, flexible team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to push patients in a wheelchair.
  • Proof of Covid vaccine required.
