We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Safety Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Amazon Worldwide Design Engineering teams to ensure new equipment and modifications to existing equipment comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and harmonized standards.
  • Lead risk assessments, assist in the development and review of equipment designs, and provide guidance on requirements for controls and devices.
  • Functionally partner with all engineering teams to drive a systematic approach to address risk identification, mitigation, and management of safety solutions.
  • Travel 25-50% of the time to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of program or project management experience.
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, safety, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in safety engineering programs in manufacturing or production environments.
  • Experience working within a global company with global or multi-country responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership experience.
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization.
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules.
