We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our team at Brooksource. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and performance tuning of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Database Administration: Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle E-Business Suite applications and databases.
  • Database Maintenance: Perform regular database maintenance tasks, including backups, recovery, and patch management.
  • Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and application performance problems.
  • Security: Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with development teams to support application development and deployment.
  • Capacity Planning: Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning to meet business requirements.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • On-Call Support: Provide on-call support for production environments as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as an Oracle Apps DBA, with expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS).
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, administration, and performance tuning.
  • Oracle Certifications: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
  • Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud-based Oracle environments (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure).
  • ITIL Knowledge: Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
