About the Role

Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Crop Claims Field Adjuster I to join our team. As a key member of our Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS) team, you will play a critical role in investigating, evaluating, and concluding complex field inspections to ensure that claims are handled efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and evaluate complex field inspections to determine liability and coverage
  • Exercise judgment to determine policy verification and coverage determination
  • Participate in Risk Management Agency initiated reviews and referrals to ensure operations integrity and quality assurance
  • Protect Zurich's reputation by maintaining confidentiality of claims information
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and staying current with industry trends
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more months of experience in the agricultural area
  • Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained within 180 days of hire date
  • Reliable personal transportation and travel within territory
  • RCIS Crop Adjuster Physical Requirements: walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles, climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet, lift 25 lbs to 50 lbs, work outdoors in varying temperatures/weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
