Medical Assessment Specialist for Veterans

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assessment Specialist to join our team at MRG Exams. As a Medical Assessment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in performing medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
About the RoleIn this position, you will review medical records electronically through a web portal and perform focused, in-person physical exams on each Veteran. You will then document the exam findings required by the VA through the web portal. It is essential to note that you will not make disability determinations, as this responsibility lies with the United States Veterans Administration.
This role requires the ability to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions. Additionally, you must be skilled in time management, able to stay on task, and meet requirements. A current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license is mandatory for this position, as well as proficiency in using a computer.
What We OfferAs a Medical Assessment Specialist with MRG Exams, you can expect a competitive hourly rate of $60+. We also provide training and continued support to ensure your success in this role. Health insurance options are available, and a computer will be supplied for your use. A typical day involves working with 3 to 5 patients, and you will have the opportunity to serve the Veteran community while enjoying a set schedule during normal business hours without any on-call responsibilities.
