Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Rochester Public Schools. As a key member of our Student Support Services team, you will provide essential mental health services to students, working closely with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to ensure the well-being and success of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mental health services to students, including assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of interventions.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized plans to support student mental health and academic success.
  • Participate in mental health evaluations and assessments of students, and develop treatment plans to address identified needs.
  • Comply with DHS regulations for CTSS providers, and maintain accurate and timely documentation of student mental health services.
  • Provide leadership and facilitation of skills training, both in groups and individually, as determined by the needs of the student.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure coordinated services for students.
  • Provide assistance with crisis intervention within the classroom.
Requirements
  • One year of college coursework (30 semester hours) in a human service field AND 2,000 supervised experience hours, or a Bachelor's degree in a human service field AND related internship experience (or 2,000 supervised hours).
  • Masters degree in human service or related field.
  • A high school diploma and 4,000 supervised experience hours.
