We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at ResCare Community Living. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to individuals with intellectual, developmental, or cognitive disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess health problems and needs of individuals served, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records.
  • Administer nursing care, advise individuals served and staff on health maintenance and disease prevention, and provide case management.
  • Review daily appointment needs, packets completed and available to staff, and review daily nursing calendar, schedule, and attend if possible.
  • Monitor staff, as needed, and review incident reports, provide assessment and follow-up.
  • Approve orders for prescribed medications/treatments, monitor health status/vitals/seizure disorders, and address acute/on-going health issues.
  • Attend IPPs as scheduled, review MARs for completeness and accuracy, and provide on-call service.
  • Perform PRN Assessments, review IPP schedule, submit assessments 2 weeks prior to IPP, and review follow-up appointments on calendar.
  • File health care documents, review medication storage, cleanliness, organization, and no out-of-date drugs, and review narcotics count sheets.
  • Order medications that only have 7 days remaining, complete monthly nursing summary, and do monthly reconciliation.
  • Review Med exchange at assigned locations, develop a Medication Support plan, and update as needed.
Requirements
  • Degree from an accredited school of nursing or License as a Registered Nurse, current and in good standing.
  • Valid driver's license from state of residence.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have one year of nursing experience, Supervisory experience preferred.
